Good Writing: It's addictive.
Good writing may be hard to notice at first but once found, it may never be replaced. Behind every magazine, newspaper, billboard and every advertisement is a good writer. They know how to capture the attention of their audience with smooth writing that almost seems like it's being read or said to each individual instead of reading the article for themselves. Just think of a billboard that may be seen on every highway. Each sentence is crafted in a creative way to capture the attention of their audience who does not have the time to read more than a sentence or two. Each sentence strives to captivate with their use of concise, informative sentences to get the focus across quickly and simply. Apart from a quick advertisement, good writing may be found within newspapers. Although the audience may have more time to read more into detail than the audience for billboards, each newspaper writer knows their audience does not want complicated writing that may not get the point across. Instead, the reader is more interested in writing that focuses on the reader and the news at hand instead of the writer. Good writing is defined by the affect it has on the reader, even if that affect may only be noticed by the writer themselves.
